Mr Ahmad Mahbub-ul-Alam is an Associate Professor and the current Head of the Department of English at Manarat International University (MIU) with an active teaching career of more than 18 years. He has also worked with Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP), Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) and Government Eden Mohila College, Dhaka as Adjunct Faculty and also with the International Labour Organization (ILO), Italy as External Consultant for Translation and Quality Assurance. In 2018, he was a Seminar Speaker on Commination Skills for the Flying Officers of 74 BAF Course at Bangladesh Air Force Academy (BAFA), Jessore. He is an Ex-Cadet of Rangpur Cadet College (CCR), and later he received his BA (Hons) and MA in English Language and Literature degrees. As a researcher, he has more than 20 research articles published in different prestigious research journals, some of which have been cited by national and international scholars in their research articles. Currently, he is doing his PhD in the Centre for Higher Studies and Research (CHSR) at Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) on the dissertation title “Women in the Novels of Jane Austen and Sharat Chandra: A Comparative Study”.
