Assistant Professor Farzana Zaman is currently pursuing her Masters in Education with Thesis in the Institute of Education and Research (IER) at Dhaka University (DU). Along with experience as an Adjunct Faculty at Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University (MBSTU), she has fifteen and a half years of active teaching experience at Manarat International University (MIU). As a freelance invigilator, Ms. Farzana has been working with the British Council since 2014. She completed her BA (Hons) and MA in English, securing CGPA 3.52 and 3.83 respectively. She also completed different academic and professional courses. She did TKT (Teaching Knowledge Test) from the British Council and Advanced Research Methodology from Dhaka University. She has been working as an MA in English Thesis Supervisor for the last ten years. Apart from that, currently she is working as the Assistant Proctor of MIU and the Moderator of MIU English Club. She has exposed her leadership competence by organizing seminars and different cultural programs. She organized the First National Debate Tournament at MIU in 2015. On 29 January 2020, she arranged a seminar on "Identity, Marginalization & Formation of Minorities: Post-Colonial Perspective", under the banner of the MIU English Club. She rendered her voluntary service as an Academic Coordinator of the English department at MIU. She has 6 published and two accepted research articles. Apart from these, she has published some newspaper articles too. In 2018, she presented two of her conference papers at the National Conference on Achieving Sustainable Development Goals in Bangladesh: "Educational Responses, Challenges and Possibilities" in the IER, DU. She received different academic awards in creative writing, poem recitations and debates.
