An Online Briefing cum View-Exchange Session was organized by MIU English Club (Ashulia) on Wednesday, 10 February 2021, 8:00 PM in collaboration with the Department of English, MIU. The program was open for all the undergraduate and graduate students of both the Ashulia and Gulshan campuses. The session, starting at 8:00 PM, continued for about one and a half hour with lively interactive-participation, where the students of both campuses came to know about the key aspects of studying in Malaysia such as eligibility, subject choice, university choice, financial issue (self/scholarship), Accommodation/food cost, part-time job, language requirements, after graduation (switching or settling), VISA issues and scopes for MIU students. Then, the virtual (online) program continued with an interactive view-exchange part and chit-chat of teachers and students of the English department. The most interesting part of the program was, a senior student (Mahmudul Huq Masum) of BA in the English program of MIU (24th Batch) was the guest speaker in the session who is about to complete his Masters at International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) with which MIU has MoU. The MIUEC members including President Afia Azizah and General Secretary Abdul Kadir Zilany was present in the session. The Organizing Secretary Sadia Oasika was the moderator of the session. The honorable head of the department along with other faculties also joined and enjoyed the session.
