Online Chit-chat cum Learning Session Arranged by MIU English Club

An Online Experience Sharing and Learning Session was organized on Wednesday, 17 February 2021, 8:00 PM to 9:30 PM by the MIUEC (Ashulia) of the English department of MIU. The program was open for all the undergraduate and graduate students of the department of English of both Ashulia and Gulshan campuses. The session, starting at 8:00 PM, continued for about one hour and 30 minutes with lively interactive-participation, where the students of both campuses came to know about the key aspects of higher studies abroad, the pros and cons of newspaper column writing, and preparing for being an English teacher at English Medium Schools. Then, the virtual (online) program continued with an interactive view-exchange part and chit-chat of the teachers and students of the English department.

The most interesting part of the program was, a senior student (Hasan-Al-Mahmud, Former student of ENB and ENM programs) was the guest speaker in the session who is a Senior English Faculty at BIT School, a regular column writer of different national English daily newspapers, and a Fullbright TEA Fellow (USA), 2018. He also conducted a power-point presentation on the said issues along with additional information on different international scholarships. The honorable head of the department along with other faculties also joined and enjoyed the session.
